Red Rock Courses are all CPD Approved.

So what does that mean ?

CPD – Continuing Personal or Professional Development - is the term that describes a commitment to structured skills enhancement and personal or professional competence. The CPD Certification Service helps organisations provide certified CPD and acts as a point of contact for those seeking to obtain certified CPD material. It supports further learning initiatives being undertaken by Government, professional institutions, trade associations, individual organisations, training providers, suppliers and so on.

There is now an increasing expectation for the UK workforce to undertake Continuing Personal or Professional Development. (CPD) regardless of role or responsibility. The ‘professionalisation’ of many jobs in response to changes in employment law, legislation and socio-economic trends has resulted in a growth of professional bodies and institutes who represent various roles and industries.

There are approximately 300 institutes across the UK currently, and this number is forecasted to increase over the forthcoming decade. Accompanied by such growth, there has been an acceptance that national academic qualifications must offer vocational and skills-based or ‘practical’ options. As a result, the National Qualifications Framework has burgeoned and a wider variety of qualifications are now available to the workforce than compared to a decade ago. The requirement for individuals to undertake CPD has been fuelled by the 2006 Leitch report and the more recent 2009 McCleod report. Both of these identified huge skills gaps and shortages across the entire current UK workforce and highlighted the urgent need for individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’, regardless of occupation, age or educational level.

Red Rock training courses are fully recognised by the CPD and have all have been individually audited by them. This means that the time you spend on Red Rock training is fully valid towards your personal CPD record.
