CIS - Standard 2, Personal Development

Fulfil your obligations under the Common Induction Standards framework for Adult Social Care

Welcome to the suite of courses designed to help individuals demonstrate they have met all elements of the Common Induction Standards for Adult Social Care.

There are 8 Standards within the framework and these have been released as individual modules to help managers to control the order in which the induction standards are delivered and therefore better align them to each individual’s needs.  This approach also means that smaller pieces of work can be completed by candidates and be signed off in turn by the relevant Care Manager (once completed) before the individual moves on to the next standard.

This programme deals with Standard 2 and covers Personal Development.  The areas that will be covered in the course include:

  • Understanding your responsibilities
  • Legislation
  • Experiences attitudes and beliefs
  • Reflective practice
  • Evaluating your own performance
  • Recording your development
  • Using reflective practice

Once you have completed all sections and passed the multiple choice exam at the end of the course, you will need to download your certificate and ask your manager to sign this off and keep it on file as a record of the fact that you have completed the standard.

There are 8 different certificates required to demonstrate you have completed all aspects of the Common Induction Standards and each is uniquely referenced and can be tracked within the online system.

    Having whittled our future training company for the business down to 3, this has been my last company to have trialed (whilst also racking up some CPD points for myself). You are by far the most expensive. However, taking into account how up to date your training is, the content, ease of use (dashboard is so much clearer that others), relevant to Scotland (a must) and how responsive you were to my enquiry prior to commencing the course- this rates you as amazing at what you do.

    Looking forward to registering the business with you in the future and accessing all staffs' progress. I see that it's cheaper, the more modules accessed. A positive thing for us.

    In contrast to classes attended regarding child protection, this e-learning course was more in-depth, accessible, and compulsory engagement required due to test . Attended classes can have a passive attendance quality as there is no test, so that you can see people passing the time on their mobile phones!!

    The e-learning course - the flow chart was useful for people like me (A&E junior nurse) as well as the case study. This will influence my practice.
