Essential information at Level 2 for those in Scotland seeking to understand Child Protection

This level 2 child protection course has been written to provides the relevant level of information for allied health professionals, social care workers, children’s advocates, volunteers, and anyone working with children and families (including members of the public) to be able to competently contribute to the protection of children and young people and tailored specifically to meet the requirements of those in Scotland.

The initial modules will:

  • assist with contextualising child protection
  • address underpinning legislation which informs guidance on best practice
  • clarify roles and responsibilities of key partners and gatekeepers such as child protection committees.

In addition, you will better understand the importance of information sharing and identifying the different types of abuse in an ever changing world that will help you to gain or enhance your working knowledge of child protection processes and procedures.
