This is the 3rd part of the Dementia series and is designed to help individuals explore the different types of behaviour and the factors that affect this behaviour in someone with a form of dementia.

Although the information contained within this course is part of the Dementia suite, it also works well as a stand alone course to help individuals to learn how to respond in an appropriate and supportive manner to behaviour that some may find 'challenging'.

Upon completion of this module, you will:

  • understand that behaviour is often used as a means of communication
  • understand behaviour that some might find ‘challenging' and how to respond to this in a supportive manner
  • understand why some people with dementia will need additional emotional support
